10th Grade

Annual Progress Review

All sophomores meet with their counselor individually in January – March.  Discussion topics include:

• Review of transcript and progress toward graduation
• Continued development of college/career/military plans
• Using Scoir to begin building a resume and researching colleges and careers
• Course selections for junior year
  • A copy of students' course selections is sent home for families to review before student schedules are built.

The Sophomore Meeting Checklist (2025-2026) (link) was reviewed with all students during the spring of 2026.  The 2026-2027 Sophomore Meeting Checklist will be posted in 2027 for current Sophomores.

College Fairs

Upcoming Fairs:

• The National College Fair, hosted by the National Association for College Admission Counseling (link) is being held at the OnCenter on March 16th and 17th, 2026.  

PSAT

Sophomores who are accelerated in math and/or English are invited to take the PSAT in October.  Registration for the exam happens in the spring of students’ freshman year.
